Knit a aquare with 20-30 stitches	It is a square when you can fold a triangle like this

Bend and form to a cone	Sew ...

Begin sewing the bottom like this	Tip: you can hide a cardboard bottom or make one out of a plastic botto/jar - but it may not be necessary!.

Stuff the tree....	Balls: ch2, then make as many dc as necessary to form a little circle.

or make an I-cord....	or knit the stripes (here 10-20-30 sts)
or adobe as you like with buttons, ribbons, beads and so on.
