I was asked to make some bags to mobile phones, so I
started to make some.
I used cotton yarn and a hook n. 5.
You also need some buttons, shells, perls and so on to decorate.
|
My first mobile-case...
|
|
This is the first one.
Make a BR with 11 cn.
Go on with the stitch you like (here TSS)
When the piece is as long as you want (about twice your mobile), make a
buttonhole:
work 2-3 rows on the center stitches (4-5 as you like), finish with 5-7 ch
to make the real hole.
|
Crochet a flower and add.
Take care when you sew together the
little bag:
1) do not let the stitches go around the border, but go up and down
like a sewingmachine - go "up & down".
2) divide the tread so that you get a finere tread.
|
|
|
Make a handle-chain with double yarn, add an old
button
and here you are: my first mobile-case!
|
The second mobile-case
|
|
Make a BR with 11 cn.
Go on with the stitch you like (here 2 TSS, 2 TPS )
When the piece is as long as the front of your mobile, go on with TSS only.
When this piece is as long as the first, stop and make a buttonhole.
|
Make a chain in the center.
Measure how long you need (depends on the button).
Sew the borders (see tips above).
|
|
The third and forth mobile-cases
|
|
These two cases are mad with TSS only.
When I finished the long center piece I made a BR on each of the long
borders. Then I sew together.
Make a chain in the center.
Measure how long you need (depends on the button).
Sew the borders (see tips above).
The blue case has some discs of mother-of-pearl
from an old neck-lace.
The orange case has two pebbles to stop the
handle and a shell as button - also an old neck-lace.
|
The fifth mobile-case
|
|
Make a BR with 11 cn.
Make the front piece with 5 TSS, and 5 TPS for 4 rows, then alternate (5
TPS and 5 TSS)
When the piece is as long as the front of your mobile, go on with TSS only.
This one is without a buttonhole.
I added some wooden pearls on the handle, which I
made with single yarn.
|
The sixth mobile-case
|
|
Make a BR with 13 cn.
THe the front side:
skip the first strand, work the second as a TSS, then work as TSS the
strand you skipped.
This make the pattern you can see on this case.
The back side is normal TSS, but as the front stitch
When I work these frontside-stitches, my work is
not as large as the same numbers of stitches in TSS, so when I begin the
back-side I crochet the two first and the two last stitches together, in
order to get 11 loops on the hook.
Add wooden pearls on the handle, buttonhole/chain
and button.
|
The seventh mobile-case
|
|
Going ahead with an idea/pattern, I like to change
and find new ways to do things. This little bag is made without cutting
the yarn!
Make the big piece (see above the second case),
but when you finish then fold the piece in two, and add the first border
with a BR. (I used hook n. 5 to the main piece, but n. 3,5 to the BR on
the borders and the handle-chain.)
When you finish the BR, do not cut the tread, but make the handle-chain.
When its as long as you want, then make a BR on the second side!
That's all! So easy!
Now yoy may add the button-chain, buttons, shells
or whatever you like.
|
I added some small pearls.
Take care: when you sew the pearls and go from place to place, do not let
the tread go THROUGH the croched bag, but let the needle go inside the
croched bag.
In this way the tread will not be seen on the back(in)side, and it's
difficlt to break when you insert the mobile.
|
|
The eighth mobile-case
|
|
This is quite like the case right above but I
made the border with another colour.
Add the pearls befor beginning to crochet the border (BR). Here you can
see my case with the backside up: ' notice how you can see the light tread.
Make the BR, and go n with a chain with single yarn. If the holes in your
pearls are too narrow, you can make a long loop, put it on a needle and
pass the chain through the pearls (see photo).
|
Take care to make the second BR
from the right side - (see photo) |
