You need:
an old hat...
leftovers from your yarn basket
a ribbon
a Tunisian (or normal) crochet hook (size depends on the leftovers
Stitches: BR

Make a BR with 6 cn (or more, depends on the yarn).
When you finish the row, do not cut the yarn but make another BR. Go on in
this way until you have an even number of BRs. (see photos step 1- 4)

Make a BRs with 6 cn, one by one (you need an even number)

When you finish the last BR, then pass the hook in all the cn where you
began the new BR

step 3
YO and go through all loops, cut and pull through loop.

step 4
Make a knot with the two treads.
|
|
It's difficult to sew in straw, so pass the two
treads and make some knots.
